TVU Online (Blackboard)

This is the virtual learning environment (VLE) used within the Faculty to provide flexible and convenient access to learning materials and tutorial support outside of the classroom environment.

You will receive guidance on how TVU online is used to support your study from the programme and module leaders.

Introductions and guides on accessing TVU online are available on the TVU Online Learning support site.

Practice Education Portal

This is a resource for students, academic and clinical staff which provides a seamless link between education and practice.

The portal has been developed by the Practice Education Support Unit which has a national reputation for innovative developments in practice education.

Internet access to Medline and to the full texts of many journals.

TVU Library Services Catalogue

Here you can check availability and reserve books, journals, videos and other media stocked in all the Library. 

Simulation Lab

The Simulation Centre boasts the state of the art facilities to enable a full range of simulation education to all health and social care professionals.

The centre contains a range of high fidelity patient simulators that accurately replicate physiological parameters allowing interventions to be performed with realistic outcomes in virtual clinical environments.

The centre is able to replicate theatre, critical care, A&E, midwifery, ward-based and community environments, supporting the educational needs of staff from a range of disciplines and across all health and social care areas.
