Programme
Aims
The
key purpose of this programme is to enable individuals, who work
with (or whose work brings them into contact with) substance users
and abusers, to:-
- contribute
to the provision of effective high quality intervention strategies,
be it at the individual or strategic level.
- contribute
to the offer of quality treatment intervention and or public health
interventions for those people who use or abuse substances.
- contribute
to the implementation of intervention strategies as laid out in
the Government’s drug and alcohol misuse strategy for the UK.
- develop
the ability to examine the relationship and impact of the social
and cultural, political and economic factors that influence substance
use and problem use of drugs and alcohol; both at the policy level
and the individual level of intervention.
